   Cicada Technology was started in 1982 as a contract packaging business. After building fiber optic splice closures for AT&T, Lucent and OFS for many years, Cicada purchased the outside plant closure division from OFS in 2005. By keeping the same standards for quality and customer service, Cicada offers both in-line and butt style closures with quick turnaround times. These closures have been engineered to provide the highest level of environmental protection of Optical Cable splices. The Cicada closures are designed to seal, bond, anchor, and protect different types of cables and splices. Whether your application calls for buffered or ribbon-type cables, or there are requirements for mechanical or fusion splices, there are splice organizer trays which will meet your needs.
