(Grenoble, France) and Gould Technology LLC. (Millersville, MD USA) have announced the completion of the sale of Teem’s PLC power splitter product line to Gould.       In the first phase of the sale, completed last summer, Teem’s PLC splitter packaging and testing technology and equipment were transferred to Gould. This final phase of the sale includes the transfer to Gould of Teem’s ion exchange technology and equipment for the manufacture of waveguide splitter chips to be used in PLC splitter modules.       The existing fused biconical taper coupler and additional planar waveguide technologies will provide Gould with significant strategic advantages by increasing its domestic manufacturing capacity and flexibility, as well as improving product performance and reducing costs.       With well over twenty-five years of manufacturing experience in passive fiber optic branching components, Gould is recognized as the leader in its field and provides customers worldwide with high reliability and custom design multimode, singlemode and polarization maintaining splitters. 2007 Gould is exhibiting at OFC 2007  in Anaheim, CA. OCTOBER 4, 2006:  Teem Photonics S.A. and Gould Technology L.L.C. have closed the sale of the former's PLC power splitter module product line to Gould. The transaction includes an agreement in which Gould Technology can use Teem Photonics ion exchange waveguide splitter chips inside the PLC splitter modules.
